Hey listen! I don't know how to feel about this look. I'm happy about the Remake, because it will be realized in full 3D, without the early technical limitations of Nintendo 64. But I guess we need to see this in action in the game, rather than this quick few seconds at non gameplay sequence. Will this be a re-imagining like Final Fantasy 7 Remake was? Sure the overworld map will be more interesting this time without loading screens in between the areas, with the lessons learned from Breath of the Wild. More than the graphics update, I'm very curious about the gameplay changes and how the world will be layed out. And the soundtrack off course. How far will Nintendo diverge from the original?

BTW I won't buy a Switch 2, so will miss out on this unfortunately.

Today’s game is some more Twilight Princess. I did the Sky Temple today. It was pretty but man did it feel weird in some places. Like this area I found I could lower down into. It was a weird unsettling void.

Anyways. The boss fight was fun. Though I don’t feel like there was much that set it apart for me from the water temple fight. I think it’s because both of them have you grabbing onto the back with the hookshot and stabbing.

This game is also driving me nuts with how many rupees I find. I’ll see a chest on the map and take a detour only for it to be Rupees. Really driving me crazy.

It’s weird to think I made it this far. I assume I’m near the end of the game. Which is awesome to me. The furthest I’ve ever made it before is the gorons and now here I am. Right about to finish the game. I’ll try and do it tomorrow hopefully. I’m kind of excited to beat it.

The Xbox Podcast deep dive on E-Day was published on Monday and briefly featured a version of the latest trailer that incorrectly stated that the game was coming to Sony’s console.

Today’s game is Twilight Princess again. I went and did the owl statues, which honestly. It wasn’t too bad but I didn’t really care for it either. I feel like whenever Zelda games have these fetch quests I never really care for them. It was the same thing with Wind Waker’s triforce pieces.

I ended up making it to the sky temple though, and I think this dungeon is kind of cool. It’s awesome to have a dungeon that’s technically “populated” like this one. All the Ooco really make it feel a little more alive. I do have some questions about their interior design but besides that it’s awesome. Music is awesome. Design is awesome. And hopefully the puzzles are awesome.

All the Cats too are nice. Cats, if it isn’t obvious, are one of my favorite pets. So seeing them all here is nice. I liked the one playing with the yarn ball. It was batting it around in the background when I was talking to Impaz too.

Anyways. Tomorrow I’m gonna try and do the Sky temple in one sitting like I did the Temple of Time. I’m hoping it’s not as tedious as that one, but we’ll see.

Every year I try to get my self excited about watching the gaming summer shows , what use to be E3. This year honestly I just couldn’t. I tried watching a few minutes of both the Sony and Summer Games fest and felt bored. I’m sure a lot of these games these they show will be great. But the way the present most of them honestly doesn’t engage me in the slightest.

Sometimes you get a cinematic trailer that shows no gameplay sometimes (mostimes) you get just gameplay with no context.

I feel like the presentation format doesn’t work for games not anymore anyway. I feel like just setting up a YouTube channel or a playlist with game logos , descriptions and back stories with a small trailer would work so much better.

Unlike E3 this SGF is a Geoff cash grab where most larger companies seldom take part. Outside of new hardware I don’t see the need for this no context trailer barrage.

Maybe I’m just out of touch maybe I’m just insane. Thoughts ?

Edit :: people seem to be getting stuck on the title (which I’ve updated). I’m not saying all game reveals are bad. There have been some genuine gems. In some cases those gems were not the actual game. But it got the job done. This is my commentary on how I see the modern gaming marketing landscape.

"The release will hit PC, Linux, Mac, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S as per usual, and now we’re also adding PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2 to the roster. Of course there will be full crossplay between all the platforms, so that you can play with your friends."
