Normally I'd be on solid ground, in a tent, with a sleeping mat beneath my sleeping bag, so it would probably be safe to keep my clothes under it, probably towards the end of the bag near my feet. I've also never had any sort of ice forming on my sleeping bag before since we always had tents for every campout as needed.

Maybe I'm misremembering the advice or it's bad advice, but in general I am probably never gonna have another chance to test this advice. So I'll take your word for it.

No matter what, don't go in the winter.

As someone who hates the cold with a passion, there's nothing worse than waking up cold in the morning because you either didn't have on enough to keep you warm during a cold winter night in a sleeping bag or had on too much and wake up cold from sweating throughout the night.

Winter campouts are the only camps I absolutely do not miss at all from my time at scouts. The cold mornings are enough for me to not suggest it, despite it not actually being that bad after you've warmed up.

Though, on a more serious note, one of the things I do remember being taught but never followed through with for various reasons is to put your clothes for the next day under your sleeping bag so that way the next day they should be warm or at least warmer so you aren't putting on freezing cold clothes. Especially good for things like jeans because there's nothing worse than putting on jeans with frigid cold metal buttons if your hands are already trembling a little from the cold winter morning in general.

I haven't been necessarily patriotic for a long time because why pledge allegiance to a single nation? The only reason I really care about July 4 is the fireworks. It's more tradition than anything that I see them.

Anyways, both of his terms make me feel vindicated in not being patriotic in a country.

Regardless of whether you're in a part of the country where the effects of you speaking up won't have as much consequence, I don't think it's morally wrong to try and keep yourself, friends, family, and loved ones safe by not speaking out.

It's either 1, 2, or 6 for me. All depends on what I'm wearing that day because I sure as hell ain't changing at night if I don't have to.

I absolutely hate cloudflare because they always block me whenever I visit a site while connected to any VPN server on Proton, regardless of country. Even when I'm not connected to a VPN I sometimes have trouble with them deciding my connection is suspicious despite not having anything that should trigger it.

I've got a lot of use out of a 1000ml water bottle I got at college. Originally got it because the club I'm a part of was making food and I needed a container to take some with me. Since then I have used it a lot. Same with a discounted $1USD aluminum bottle I got because I forgot my water bottle at home and needed something so I wouldn't be getting up every few seconds to get water while working on something in the library.

Name any sports title ( NHL, NFL, NBA, MBA, etcetera )that isn't a zany, over the top SuperTuxKart or Cartoon Network Racing style kart racer and I'm out.

Same goes for any PVP shooter games such as Call of Duty, TF2 Counter Strike, etcetera. Anymore I really find no interest in them because I don't feel like breaking things over some 6 month old who can squad wipe me, all while getting their diaper changed and slinging slurs my way.

Regardless of who did it and their ideology, purposefully killing firefighters of all people is literal domestic terrorism.

Technically the one I'm currently in since it's the first one I've ever lived.

The people upstairs, twice, went and installed a bidet ( we're not really allowed to do our own plumbing for a reason and they proved why ) and it caused a giant ceiling bubble the second time in the bathroom. The apartment directly below us has been empty for a long time with nobody working on fixing the gutted place for a while, but IIRC when they were having some company working on it, they accidentally caused our dishwasher to start to flood. So for a long time we had the floor being worked on. The dishwasher thing might have been caused by some other water/plumbing issues somewhere else that caused it, I don't remember.

My brother, being the idiot he is, decided at one point to take a couch from near the dumpster and now I have firsthand experience with bedbugs. We have dealt with a minor mice problem. It was probably a homeless person, but my dad had a bike stolen from the balcony. There were two times where some idiot tenants started fires and one of the sets of apartments is still being fixed from the damage.

Other than that, I can't complain too much because I don't really have that many problems here and it's definitely 1000x better than where I could be right now. It's definitely not as bad as I make it out to be, based on what I've said has happened.
