manufacter is purposely limiting functionality of the device for profit, and in some cases bricking the device because they deem someone isn't using it how they want.

I call it a paperweight for that reason

it's for sure the latter. never developed the skills and well... yeah, I live like a teenager and nothing gets done. like, nothing.. I don't have a life routine or whatever people use/think to get stuff done. I dunno, I'm just lost

lol, wow.. don't even know where to begin tbh. I'm just a mess and want to fix my life. don't know what day it is, don't use calendars, can't manage any tasks, low motivation, never know where/what to start with, horrible with money, house is a dumpster.. almost literally. I forget/never know when garbage pickup is so I forget to put it out, a lot.. so it sits in the house for 2 weeks, unless I forget again. tried making lists of things, forget or lose the lists.

I'm just horrible at being an adult in general.

thank you, I'll read into Stoicism. face value, looks like an interesting philosophy to live by.

Just looking for direction, input, personal stories, anecdotes, links, infographics, literally anything on the topic.

Something to help one better themselves, manage their life and put some structure or control in place.

the car isn't removed, just mine is. doesn't really avoid anything

also didn't include, but the party is at the hotel we're all staying at so no excuses.

well that's how companies should be, no? they call you in for a work event, they should be covering expenses like my time, travel and expenses incurred. isn't this normal?

no trains go there or planes unless I find some dude that owns a plane. I don't mind the drive personally, it very scenic and I love music so that keeps me going easily

yeah major city. tons of options. enterprise was their chosen company.

might very well be nepotism, just such an odd decision to take on the risk of renting a car vs having me use my own.

nah, this is a 7 hour drive one-way.

ain't no cab gonna be cheaper lol personal driver would be nice though. I could play guitar the whole way

I'm just confused on why they are forcing me to rent a car at their expense, instead of using my own car. this is the first year they said they are getting me a car.

what could be reasons why they would opt for rental instead of km/milage reimbursement?

I don't wanna drive no automatic lol
