To keep track of groceries? Just I don't know, LOOK inside the fridge. Oh the cabinets and drawers don't have screens, just slap a few of them on there to keep track of that shit too! Why stop at the fridge?

Little bit of a pointer but you can edit your post and title.
Anyways, digressing there. But, I am always willing to hear some alternative takes from different people with different perspectives. The dealbreaker is in the approach. If you cannot come into a discussion, a conversation, a debate or anything without feeling the need to put down someone to prove a point or be self-righteous? You can go fuck yourself and be placed in the blocked bin.
And even so, there is only so much irrational and wild things people do and say that just upsets the vibe with someone or groups to where, blocking can be seen as a way to filter that out.
I value my time, patience and sanity. There had been too many instances where I've poured way too much investment into things or people that just were not worth a single minute. The moment I feel someone gives me a snarky remark, wants to be a prick, wants to gaslight and whatever petty and bitter levels of engagement they want to bother me with. Fuck them, they'll be blocked.
It does not make you weak or petty, that's just them making up bullshit to excuse themselves when they knowingly were the problem.
Now in some cases it can be a little stupid to block people, like knowing you're the one starting shit or deciding to get into debates you aren't fitted to handle. Why would you do that to yourself? If you can't handle it, don't do anything. Lesson learned.
Damn if there was a function in real life where I can block someone and their existence disappears where other people can see them and I can't? Fuck, dude, sign me up.
That friend needs to be more specific, they didn't even give you resolution or screen size preferences? What kind of friend does that?
Oh yes. In the early days of pirating, it was illegal to possess MP3s of music you didn't 'own' copies of.
There used to also have been and still is, legal fighting about the legality of having copies of games no longer in circulation. We have been seeing it now where Nintendo aims at people hosting file copies of some of their IPs.
They're always going to be illegal to have laying around your computer, regardless of your stance. Unless you buy said MP3s from something like Apple's store or Amazon.
Well, maybe tell Microsoft and others to stop sucking in these technological advances they treat as shiny misunderstood toys that are forced down everyone's throats and make everyone's lives a lot harder than they're supposedly making easier.
I am not arguing against the idea of upgrading at all or avoiding security at all. What I am always tired of, is just seeing the direction Microsoft takes and then telling people to shove off into their shitty new ecosystem for the sake of security. Like no, you're watering down your OS and dumbing down everything while telling millions of users like "well, uh, like it because we're Microsoft so fuck you".
And nothing is improving or giving people the strong urge to immediately upgrade because of said directions and choices.
Which is why we have this delayed lapse in people just stretching out these support cycles who're not interested in hopping to the next OS, because they aren't liking what they see and sometimes experience on another's computer that has that latest OS version.
By the time Windows 10 is truly done, Windows 11 has its announcement for the last of its updates and by the time Microsoft moves to 12 in however they handle it, maybe then.
This is what happens when his little sitcom has been out of syndication for nearly three decades. Starts going crazy.
So, imagine your machine is one of those Dell Optiplex contraptions of the 2000s and even early 2010s.
Those machines sucked for the reason that, their components were tightly compacted, very little wiggle room to do anything in, upgrading anything was next to impossible because everything had to be low-profile to even fit into the case, everything was a dust/heat nightmare waiting to happen.
Just so many vulnerabilities in those machines are exactly what you could be facing if you go this route.
Yeah. I mean, I remembered seeing someone named awkwardturtle on there and they moderated like some 30+ subreddits? That's ridiculous.
Users like that should not have that much power.
Judging by how they want Jim Crow-era laws back, we can assume they want the 1870 ~ 1959 period back.
But honestly, they are fascists. They want do what the Nazis did except more Amercianized. Sure we won't have dedicated labor camps or extermination camps in our country. But, we'll happily blitz through laws to be passed that'll make it harder and harder for LGBTQ people to have rights. Don't like middle-class? No problem! We'll just orchestrate a system with our trusty friend, Capitalism, that'll make it harder for things to be affordable for them.
Laws? What laws? lol, only for those who can't afford to break them. Rules and Accountability? Lol, what's that? That's only for those people who're tied to this silly concept called morals and karma.
That's America for you.
Uh, yeah? Just because I didn't mention it doesn't mean it doesn't exist.
If the impeachments, being convicted and the countless number of things this trash has been tied to has not swayed the voterbase by now. Nothing will.
All that this will be treated as, as just another talking point for conspiracy theorists to babble about for years, like they have already done so for a while now.
