Idiocracy was a prophecy.

Well, according to billionaires that are crying literal crocodile tears on the news, "tax the rich" is a racial slur.

They're so deluded that they don't even know what comes after tax the rich. That's the moderate position.

If there's no point in voting, what's the point in following the law at this point? That's the only thing holding up this system of governance, the will of the people. Should the people feel the government has become tyrannical (aka consistently ignoring the direct democratic will of the people through their votes) then it is the duty of the people to alter or abolish it. The Declaration of Independence says as much.

Accountability from parents being the elephant standing next to the mass surveillance elephant in the room.

How do you even scan a QR code if you're browsing on your phone?

Welcome to the post-modern era of truth. Where objective reality doesn't matter, only personal truth and reality. If what you're saying doesn't fit my personal truth, you're using fake news or making it up. Even scientific research is fake news if it doesn't fit my narrative. Just look at who funded the research.

Honestly, idk what we're going to do. It feels like with all the age verification laws being pushed, the mass surveillance, and the quelling of dissenting opinions, the world admins are looking at 1984 as a guidebook. Are we going to get a Ministry of Truth established soon to "verify" what is accurate and what is not?

I'm having no trouble on mine on CachyOS thankfully. Playin my games just fine. I'm sad I didn't kick Microslop sooner, it's been great honestly with all the tinkering and control I have. Not only did I get a performance lift, but my PC actually feels...like it's mine I guess?

I might recommend a game called 1000xResist

Sometimes, the whale is too big to fit in the backpack. You can't take everything with you. Keep this in mind when you reach the ending.

While we want everyone to have decent lives we have to reckon with the fact that there are people, even if they are provided everything that they need to have a decent and happy life, they will still choose to harm others around them to get ahead.

We call them billionaires.

And I believe that when faced with complex problems and fears, studies have shown around 30% of people will flock to authoritarianism. They crave not having to face ambiguity and a simple answer to complex problems they wish to hide from. Even if those answers are lies.

The english language literally steals words from other languages and adopts them.

Macabre Ennui Taco Plaza Café Ballet Cuisine Restaurant Elite Genre Police Patio Rodeo Canyon Guitar Tomato Mosquito Hamburger Wanderlust Angst Pizza Pasta Piano Opera Balcony Volcano Algebra

I can keep going but I think you get the point. Some english songs do throw in other languages at times too.

Many Asian songs, especially Japanese and Korean will often include english because they are all taught english in school and english is used in the business world. When visiting Korea and Japan, in major cities, a large amount of signage will include english to aid tourists.

I wish we all had more time to be human.

A ton of good and bad obviously, a good voice or a bad voice can be amplified.

In this case, in my opinion, it's a net positive providing someone who wouldn't have been able to create on their own to spread a strong message of peace and unity, one that's able to break through the controlled media ecosystem.

AI has good uses in my opinion, those in power do not wish to use it as such though. They simply want to replace labor at any cost, including our energy, water, land, air, and lives.

How do you feel about this? What if it were made by a local model? What if it inspires human artists to take a stand and create similar art spreading a message that challenges people (arguably one of the main ideas of art, to communicate)?

Personally, I've got mixed feelings, but it makes me want to pick up my bass and/or sax and start writing a similar message in response. I haven't seen much music being made (some exceptions of course) that's pushing an anti-war or anti-regime message when we need it most. I imagine that's in large part due to the financialization of...well everything. Our culture and art has been morphing more and more to be made to please algorithms, to go viral, to make top sellers lists, to appeal to a commom denominator.

Arguably, the AI video here has more of a human message than a lot of mainstream art today.
