Prices don't generally recover; any reason for a price rise is a reason to make it the new norm.

Used to be, competition would spring up and keep them in check, but now that the entire market is 6 companies in a trench coat, any new competitor would just be acquired or forced out of business with legal demands or supplier tampering.

run horrendously. But what if people can’t afford new hardware for the next four years? It’s either fix the performance or lose sales. The Switch 2 is likely going to become the most common performance target, and having only 12GBs of shared memory, it actually helps PCs in this situation.

One could hope, but the cost will carry through to consoles as well :(

memory is way up

GPU's will need memory, production cuts

followed by production cuts for cpu's monitors and powersupplies

welcome to the $10k mid range gaming PC in 2027

So it's just a clone of Wells Fargo?

If I have to switch to cash I fucking will

That's becoming a taller order every year, at least in the US. For a lot of services, Western Union is the last bastion of paying in cash.

The best I know is to freeze them first, not like solid, but just for an hour or so which makes them super lethargic.

Over placeholders? Jesus.

I at least understand it if they were actual final assets. Is the worry that they weren't really placeholders?

Next up, if you used photoshop you're out because it has AI features that you might have used.

At this point most of the user base probably has an account

My HOA, My kids school, The PTA, anywhere adults need to have chatter. However, the next generation of adults is actively eschewing the service.

Could be interesting.

They're struggling; kids/teens want no part of them. While they're still ok with being an adult platform, their base will continue to decay. That's why they're pushing for threads, but their brand is just too poisoned.

Yeah, that's the real takeaway. I expected them to send them out them say come and get it.
