I like to think about the fact that most AI companies lose huge sums of money, and that it can't really be maintained. It'll naturally become an expensive tool after the "hype" dies down. It'll no longer be worth it to put it in everything, to message random shit to it etc.

I mean the game was free for a while. I got it when it was free then I just bought a big DLC pack for like $1. I play DSOD with random people, and it's completely fine for me. Also, I don't think they would bother running it still if there would be no DLCs, or at least DLCs weren't worth as much as now they're, since nobody would be buying them. At the end of the day, the company is made for profiting.
