Design by Kyohei Katsuta

I tried again the bride, this time in white kraft paper. Now I've been practising the shaping with methyl cellulose.

Next time I'll use two color paper

Saw a similar video over at the evil empire just now, and found a YT analogue.

There's also a lot of styles and possibilities depending on leaf type and amount of effort one might want to spend:

Bride of the Fox Wedding, by Katsuta Kyohei. Next, I'll give a try to the groom and retainers while I get some nice paper.

Satoshi Kamiya's Splash!
I think Kamiya should make more of these models that can be done in a 15x15

It is not hard to find tutorials online:

Today I met up with a bunch of friends to fold some figures. We folded a bunch of stuff, we practised some wetfolding, learned a bit and had fun.

Great day.

Toad, designed by Roger García. Found on Pajarita Magazine 167

It's better to fold it with a 24x24cm paper, I used a 15x15 and it is a bit too small

Created by Juanfran Carrillo, it can be found in the Pajarita magazine n°167

I love this model. It is easy and relatively quick to fold.

Fox created by Hideo Komatsu. Available in the book Works of Hideo Komatsu.

There's a bunch of tutorials on youtube.

A friend asked me for this fox, I'm thinking of making two more because there are some variations that I want see if I'm capable of pulling off.

Owl designed by Román Díaz found in his book Origami Essence.

I wasn't sure if I had to give full volume to its body or curve it only to one side. I think I'll need to practise it a couple more tries before trying with a nicer paper.

This is Climbing Peaks by Sébastien Limet, from his book Just a Simple Base.

The folding process is relatively easy, the hard part is the final shaping.

Sébastien Limet's Monkey

The folding process felt a bit long but it wasn't really, that was just me being impatient.
The end result is great, the arms can be posed however you want and can be folded on a 15x15 kami paper.

I went through a flower phase a few years ago and recently during a big home reorganization, I brought them together, mended the occasional break, dusted them, and put them into a new base made from some packing paper I'd been holding onto 🧡

I love them all over again!
