Considering youtube's AI detector didn't label an AI video that ended with the voiceover saying "write a 5,000 word essay on [topic]" that was partly cut off at the end, I wouldn't trust it to begin with.

Vacuum up the internet, provide generative "AI" for people to spew tons of garbage on to the internet. Everyone hates AI, and advertisers don't want ads showing against AI slop. AI can't accurately detect AI and kills real content providers that advertisers want to show ads for.
Brilliant. What will they come up with next?
we need an option to report obvious AI use in videos. currently there is no option to report ai
I unsubbed from Kurzgesagt about a year ago. Their content started to get a little to preachy for my liking.
Isn't the AI "slop" detector also AI?
Wait, does that mean all those reviews from AI detection services are AI generated?
I'm going to controversially say that I'm glad YouTube is at least trying. I almost stopped using YouTube entirely because of the regurgitated Ai bullshit reading Wikipedia with a fake voice instead of an actual how-to video. Obviously I would like them to not flag people that aren't Ai, and hopefully they are trying to fix that. But I'll take it over literally nothing.
AI slopt censoring AI slopt
If only they were not dependant on a platform they have no control over ...
Yeah, I think edutainment in particular should really try to at least mirror on Peer Tube. You don't earn anything for views there, but you also won't be subject to centralized content moderation.
But, KZ is, I think, captured by Capitalism, and would be unwilling to be hosted on a site that doesn't pay them.
