seems like the person regurgitating propaganda lines out of context may in fact be the one with the brain rot

No one ever said China is perfect, just that the China in reality is far from the China the west imagines it to be. Further, not sure what you mean exactly by "authoritarianism," the word is notoriously non-objective.
