He's not out of politics, he's just back to influencing and funding from the shadows. Further, tesla have to keep moving on to the next thing because elon's not selling cars, he's selling hopium. Tesla cars will not remain competitive against international rivals long term.

They aren't even competitive short term. Look at what a new Tesla costs in comparison to an EV from BYD. And Tesla always had pretty shoddy QA.

That's all before even counting the fact that if you buy a Tesla, you finance fascism.
