As part of the devs farewell message on their site, they have included malicious code to make each visitor sends 2,000 requests to the dbzer0 servers in an attempt to DDOS and take the instance offline.

It's just honestly sad. How do you get lodged so far up your own ass that even the ones you trust and "interacted positively for years" with can't even demonstrate to you that you're plain wrong.

Because they only interact positively with people that worship them. Yandev jumped ship from multiple communities when the (completely legitimate) criticism got too heavy.
