It really beg on me the question "how did they even get this much star"

I used to see those "stars" are the indicator for if the repo is good or not and now it useless because of AI bullshit

"You can buy comments and accounts nowadays.", too, including Lemmy, I believe, but sources of such claims are usually less "buyable", even if it's known and sure possible.
Sorry, but nowadays indeed, with so many fake, fast, and sorrowful, it's better to share and back your statements with sources.

and they seem to have no interaction with coding other than this, at least on this account I mean.

The icon also looks like it might have been made by AI raising the chances if them uding AI in other places.
