Privacy has become a very important issue in modern society, with companies and governments constantly abusing their power, more and more people are waking up to the importance of digital privacy.
In this community everyone is welcome to post links and discuss topics related to privacy.
Some Rules
- Posting a link to a website containing tracking isn't great, if contents of the website are behind a paywall maybe copy them into the post
- Don't promote proprietary software
- Try to keep things on topic
- If you have a question, please try searching for previous discussions, maybe it has already been answered
- Reposts are fine, but should have at least a couple of weeks in between so that the post can reach a new audience

It does by disguising the location you're accessing the website from, which may or may not have such laws.
A VPN does that as well without the issue of being blocked very often.
A VPN doesn't build a chain of nodes and doesn't rotate them.
The VPN provider knows your real IP. Tor exit node doesn't.
Doesn't matter how anonymous one is if the website blocks Tor traffic.
Nymvpn runs traffic through 2 or 5 nodes, depending on user setting. These nodes are not owned by Nym.
True, that usually costs money though, while Tor is free.
Sure Tor is free. Compared to what I pay for electricity and ISP, a vpn is very low cost.
