I'm not as high up as Prince Rupert, but in the Vancouver area; We do get awesome summers with sunrise that seems like 4:30 am at times. Maybe not true sunrise but so bright that it appears as daylight.

And then we have "Winter" which is rain from end of September through May, where you don't see sky because its just on big giant foggy cloud mass overhead.

In Vancouver, if you can see the mountains, that means it's going to rain.

If you can't see the mountains, that means it's already raining!
