Ads are basically how all the bad things on the internet propagate. I do not understand the people that are technically savvy but do not run ad blockers in 2026. I wish the companies showing the ads were actually held accountable for what the ads showed so maybe they would care about shit like this.
You have no idea how convoluted and over engineered the ad serving tech is on Facebook/Meta. It's basically an arms race against ad blockers.
Unless I'm mistaken, Ublock Origin recently admitted that they basically just can't allocate resource trying to fight Facebook's ad system.
