Been playing the new Quake episode - Dawn of the Machine.

It’s very ambitious. Makes changes to enemies, weapons, and even the fundamental gameplay.

I don’t dislike it, it’s just an unsettling new take on what’s normally a comfortably familiar game for me.

I'm enjoying it. I liked the little glitch at the beginning where the environment suddenly changes, which took me by surprise. It's harder in some bits, but not overwhelming.

Yeah, it’s a good challenge and the dimension-hopping is neat. I typically play on hard and so far it’s put up a decent fight without being cheap or frustrating, which is more than I can say for some of the original expansions.
