pizza is hot and has a lot of fats, oils, carbs. White wine is usually cooled, crisp, acidic, and/or effervescence and most can be a little tart, which helps cut the fattiness and oils of the pizza. That is the complementary aspect of it, it is a classic acidic vs fatty balance. Pizza is warm comforting, the wine is cool and refreshing. Also the acidity in the red sauce provides a nice common element between the two, helping to bind the flavors.

Because both are delicious
I'm sure there's some technical answer but pizza is such a casual food that you can have any delicious drink with it and it will be delicious.
Wats ur fave? Does it start with a -c?
No, it starts with an "i".
Wat is it (is it greek?)
They donβt.
Because that red sauce is sweet and with the cheese makes for a light flavor
Pile on the toppings to up the umami and it goes way better with a red
Colour and flavour have nothing to do with each other.
Not true.
Red wines will be tannic from leaving the skins in the wine, whites lack this.
Theres more, but that's a start.
It's more tannic because there is skin in it, not because it's red. You can add red food dye to white wine and it won't be more tannic ... because colour and flavour have nothing to do with each other.
