Kamala "I'm speaking" Harris doesn't know how to read the room? Say it ain't so.

For fuck’s sake, Harris, you were a bad candidate in 2016, 2020, and 2024, and you’re still a bad candidate.

[–] themoken@startrek.website 18 points 3 hours ago (4 children)

There is no way Kamala Harris survives a primary.

[–] Bakkoda@lemmy.world 2 points 34 minutes ago

Hear me out: What if we primary one candidate and then after the primaries swap the candidate? Fixing crazy right?

[–] monkeyjoe@lemmy.world 2 points 41 minutes ago

She hasn't won one on the federal level. 2020 she dropped out and was unpopular in California. She wasn't involved in 2024 and forced into the position. She isnt popular anywhere.

[–] aramis87@fedia.io 16 points 2 hours ago

If she wants to win, she needs to be out there today pushing back against the regime. Instead, there's crickets. That's a "No" vote from me.

Pfft, we know the desires of the voters don’t matter to the DNC. They’ll put forward whatever milkwater, centre-right, AIPAC-suckling sycophant they like the most.

[–] EndlessNightmare@reddthat.com 1 points 27 minutes ago

DNC seems to be incapable of learning. They will ignore their voters, gavage a candidate/platform that they want, act all surprised when they lose, then cover up their report that explains why they are losers.

IMO she very likely did win the 2024 election given the real examples of election fraud by republics. As much as she choked in the final stretch I don't think she was the biggest factor in Trumps win.

But at best she'd be too little to late. Even Bernie, AOC... USA is too far gone for one leader/movement to fix things.

Nothing short of a generational shift-change in administration will move needle in the right direction.

We're doing a big lie 2.0 democrat edition now? The fact is she started from behind, was making serious ground, and completely fumbled by pivoting to moderate Republicans.

[–] monkeyjoe@lemmy.world 2 points 40 minutes ago (1 children)

Couldn't possibly be that the unpopular candidate lost an popularity contest...

[–] FlexibleToast@lemmy.world 1 points 7 minutes ago* (last edited 6 minutes ago)

Exactly. A candidate that was behind in the polls and prediction markets lost. No conspiracy needed.

Americans inability to hold 2 non mutually exclusive facts in their head at the same time is why a demented idiot like trump fooled you all.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Republican_Party_efforts_to_disrupt_the_2024_United_States_presidential_election

Harris' pivot to the right absolutely killed her momentum... but ALSO the GOP cheated.

[–] FlexibleToast@lemmy.world 5 points 1 hour ago* (last edited 1 hour ago) (1 children)

Changing voting laws is absolutely how the GOP is trying to rig elections. That's not a mystery or even in doubt. It's the people that are claiming voting machines were rigged that are preaching the big lie 2.0.

[–] Canconda@lemmy.ca -3 points 1 hour ago* (last edited 1 hour ago) (1 children)

Yea so go talk to those people instead of me. Like did you just not bother to read everything I wrote? All 3 sentences?? FFS.

People like you muddy the waters with your lazy engagement style.

[–] FlexibleToast@lemmy.world 4 points 1 hour ago (1 children)

That's an overreaction. Not only did I read your comment, I also read through the Wikipedia entry you posted. Hence why I referenced the topic it covered. I don't know what your problem is, but it's not with me.

[–] Canconda@lemmy.ca -2 points 52 minutes ago* (last edited 52 minutes ago) (1 children)

You read it after you got called out, bullshitter

[–] FlexibleToast@lemmy.world 1 points 5 minutes ago

Then why did my post address the topic you talked about? Again, you seem to have a problem, but it's not with me.

[–] gravitas_deficiency@sh.itjust.works 2 points 1 hour ago (2 children)

There were significant statistical aberrations and deviations in more than a few swing districts, in terms of the vote spread over time. And there were shockingly sweeping changes made to the configuration files of voting machines very shortly before the election. And the companies that make and deploy the electronic voting machines we use nationwide are largely controlled by a small handful of companies that have a… shall we say, deeply suspicious quantity and depth of personal ties to right-wing mega donors and politicians.

Nothing conclusive, unfortunately… but that’s also because they’ve destroyed most of the data in places where it’s not illegal to do so (which is most places).

So no, it’s not actually tin-foil-hatty to be skeptical of the veracity of the outcome of the 2024 election. Unfortunately, there’s essentially fuck-all anyone can do about it at this point.

[–] monkeyjoe@lemmy.world 3 points 40 minutes ago (1 children)

If there's proof, maybe she should have done something about it instead of folding? Anything to keep the falsehood of our democracy alive?

[–] FlexibleToast@lemmy.world 1 points 4 minutes ago

Their own post says

Nothing conclusive, unfortunately…

[–] Canconda@lemmy.ca 1 points 1 hour ago* (last edited 1 hour ago) (1 children)

Guarantee the person you're replying to didn't read that before downvoting.

edit: Musk sent prefilled absentee ballots... https://www.theverge.com/tech/882838/georgia-elon-musk-america-pac-voter-fraud

He also had a FUCKING LOTTERY.

More keeps coming out... which is the exact polar opposite of the dozens of court cases that disproved trumps big lie.

[–] FlexibleToast@lemmy.world 1 points 1 hour ago

I did read it. And this is the only part that matters

Nothing conclusive, unfortunately…
