As a longtime former resident of the city for which this article is featured, I am grateful to happily be in the former camp. I totally get what the people voted for and what they received. Buuuuut the hardline take with some progressives truly ventures into theee utmost fascist territory, if I am to be speaking honestly the level of hostility towards those (myself included) who cannot simply make their lives adjust to public transit and to recycling/reusing every single item utilized in the course of a day is somewhat off putting. Many cannot make their daily routines align with what is considered progressive, environmentally conscious and aware. This type of “selfish” behavior is frequently met with the type disgust and disdain that only truly miserable souls seem to enjoy sharing in.
