Welcome to the discussion of US Politics!

Rules:

  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

[–] opus86@lemmy.today 13 points 11 hours ago

Don't point out his incompetence, he doesn't like it.

Trade Harder starring Bruce Drumpfkopf

[–] scaredoftrumpwinning@lemmy.world 30 points 14 hours ago

First stop asking about the price of eggs, now about trade deals, what's next like you have to abide by the constitution?

[–] Mist101@lemmy.world 43 points 15 hours ago

I still wanna know when that wall will be built. Remember, the one Mexico will pay for? What about that? One dumbass thing at a time, here. We can just queue it up with all the other things stuck in the definitely drained swamp muck.

Looks like he stuck his face in a pile of his own shit.

[–] ThePantser@sh.itjust.works 23 points 17 hours ago

It's because he is so full of shit that it's leaking from his pores.

That is what the orange paint always was.
Explains the smell too.

face planted right into a big steaming pile.

and the dumb-as-fuck lardass can't get out of it without stinking of his own filth and shit--so he wants everybody to, yet again, just forget the stupid shit he's done.

Trump and his team were touting all the countries eager to make deals with the U.S. on trade. They changed their tune when it became clear such deals wouldn't materialize ~~quickly~~.

FTFY.

[–] IphtashuFitz@lemmy.world 17 points 14 hours ago

Oh, deals will eventually materialize. Just not the deals Trump hoped for. Sooner or later after the US economy is wrecked he’ll have to back peddle, and all those foreign country suppliers will have him over a proverbial barrel.

[–] EmpireInDecay@lemmy.ml 7 points 12 hours ago

Because there are no trade deals

[–] Sam_Bass@lemmy.world 6 points 12 hours ago

Surely he hasn't tired of lying his ass off already? Could he possibly be nervous about such malfeasance leading prosecution? heh

[–] 9point6@lemmy.world 25 points 17 hours ago (2 children)

Ah yes, the shart of the deal

Why is there a red dot on the hand? My cat ran over and PAWed my phone out of my hand.

[–] Evil_Shrubbery@lemm.ee 2 points 15 hours ago* (last edited 15 hours ago)

More like the next phase: "deal the shart", spread that thing wide, cast it over the masses.

[–] The_Caretaker@lemm.ee 4 points 12 hours ago

I found the trade deals Trump created, but they don't include the United States. Japan and South Korea are tightening their ties with China, because Trump is driving western capitalism over a cliff. Japan and South Korea aren't gonna play Thelma and Louise. https://asia.nikkei.com/Economy/ASEAN-joins-Japan-China-and-South-Korea-in-protectionism-warning

[–] Blade9732@lemmy.world 19 points 16 hours ago (1 children)

I was assured there were many of them. They are to be released this week. Kayleigh wouldn't bear false witness, would she?

[–] Donjuanme@lemmy.world 10 points 16 hours ago

Over 200 of them! 5 countries were eager to sign two deals with us! That's twice the deal!

[–] nman90@lemmy.world 7 points 14 hours ago

We will stop asking "when" they start coming. Until that happens we deserve to ask.

[–] some_guy@lemmy.sdf.org 5 points 13 hours ago

This should be the only question anyone asks for like a week.

[–] Binky@lemmy.sdf.org 6 points 15 hours ago

I mean hopefully never. Other countries should treat us like the plague lands we are.

[–] throwawayacc0430@sh.itjust.works 3 points 15 hours ago

trump: fucks up the US economy, then dies

vance: "IT WAS THE PREVIOUS PRESIDENT'S FAULT!" (technically correct, his predecessor was trump)

absolute "5D Chess" lmfao 🤣

[–] BrianTheeBiscuiteer@lemmy.world 3 points 15 hours ago

But when are they coming?
