Among all the Venezuela chaos some things lost focus, but that law the Brazilian Congress passed reducing the sentence for the coup plotters was vetoed yesterday. Notably it was vetoed on the anniversary of the coup attempt itself.
Congress in recess right now, but their reaction was rather lackluster which makes sense considering it's been less than a week since a neighbor country was bombed by the USA. Although the Lula admin clearly wants the veto to be overruled for electoralist goals, I suspect the reaction to the Maduro abduction coupled with the extra time for popular organisation and the typical radicalization of discourse in electoral years might be enough for a popular success.
