Most noteworthy for me is the fact that more Americans think that porn (52%) and homosexuality (39%) are wrong than spanking children (23%) and being ultra wealthy (18%).

A more accurate way to write my original statement would be:

isDeceitful() ? immoral : trustButVerify() ;

I'm saying that honesty is the filter by which I navigate social environments. I allowed the topic to percolate for about a day and jotted down a list of thoughts and observations regarding morality. No, it's not AI just cause it's a list.

/*
- morality is a mechanism to find alignment in the social sphere and is heavily
  influenced by coercive traditional dogmas

- noone is responsible for the emotional state of others, which is, in reality,
  an indeterminable state to outside observers. empathy is but a narrow band
  of perception, not ample foundation to codify rules of conduct

  - people lie; insecurity is sufficient justification for many

- complicated or overly prescriptive moral frameworks are oft smokescreens
  which allow manipulative/coercive behaviors to proliferate, akin to religious
  dogma

  - reaching for good/bad binaries is a clear sign

- in my experience, those with convoluted moral frameworks have a history of
  poor decision-making, manipulation, and/or are allergic to accountability

  - this is not gender-war drivel. it's a function of cultural programming. in
    my anecdotal experience, the distribution isn't very lopsided

> i posit that a personal philosophy based upon radical honesty minimizes
  misalignment and creates opportunity for low-friction synchronicities

- life doesn't need to be so complicated. humans manifest complexity, to our
  own detriment, in pursuit of ego adornments or to mew for group selection

- introducing fuzzy complexity into our social lives is like application of the
  US tax code

- KISS
