Lost Izalith and the Bed of Chaos in Dark Souls.
Everything before acquiring the Lordvessel is some of the tightest and best game design ever seen. The whole late game has problems, but Lost Izalith is by far the worst and most noticeably rushed.
My Kingdom to know a world where DS1 finished cooking
I'd also add Tomb of the Giants and Great Hollow if you go in there.
The Tomb is tougher than Izalith even though it's not as bland and boring, and Nito is a much better boss than Bed of Chaos (I mean, who isn't?).
And Great Hollow is just a shit place - I would call it the Bed of Chaos if it was a location instead of a boss.
