Heroes of might and magic 3 and 4. It's just fun to watch the animations, it's tense in big battles, and the battlefield is small enough to not let it take ages.

Yeah I've been hearing about this. I haven't played since 5 (which was good but the art style looked so silly it put me off). I will give it a spin in the holidays
