I've had people get mad at me when I state the comparison that plainly (because they think I'm making light of SA or something, IDK), but yes.
How to turn off OneDrive with Group Policy.
Press Windows + R, type gpedit.msc, and press Enter. Navigate to User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > OneDrive.
- Save documents to OneDrive by default: Disabled
- Prevent OneDrive from generating network traffic until the user signs in to OneDrive: Enabled
- Prevent the usage of OneDrive for file storage: Enabled
The last setting disables OneDrive on your system; make sure to change it to Disabled if you use OneDrive.
Restart your computer for the changes to take effect.
Just give Linux a shot.

I have a 16 core 9950X3D, never crashed with Linux in about a year of 24/7 uptime. I think you might have some hardware issues?
Apparently known issues with the 5000 series of 12/16 cores. Numerous reports but no fixes that worked for me including a full reinstall. I would have gone with a newer mobo/cpu if ram weren't so damn expensive
If I may suggest, there is another way to remove OneDrive, and it can also remove Edge, Teams, Copilot, Recall, or any unwanted bloat from Microsoft. This is a permanent solution and it doesn't even require to fiddle with the registry editor.

I mean, honestly, just try dual-booting a Linux.
It's super easy, it's a fun little 45 minute project, and absolute worst case, you can undo everything without messing up your Windows install.
If/when I need a new job I’ll just put “Linux daily driver” as my entire resume /s
One of those articles had a guy commenting that OneDrive decided to purge a directory because it didn't like what was in it, which; of course, led to the deleting of the original, synced, files. How people put up with this insanity is beyond me.
Dealing with shit like this on Windows all day at work was what finally pushed me to switch to Linux on my home computer.
