The OG one with the late, great Peter Thomas.

His cadence and perfectly synchronized tone as he says something dramatic like;

—-calmly but fast “police went through the house and found a napkin on the floor” —-inquisitive tone “but what the investigators didn’t know was that forensics would prove otherwise ” —-deep slow tone “luminol revealed a different story” —-(cut to a detective at his office) “so we found the house smelled like bleach. The forensic team used something called luminol, and boy, did that wall light up like a Christmas tree”

My concern is more on how shows like FF and murder podcasts treat major crimes as entertainment, it makes me uncomfortable.

Very true. Sometimes I’m conflicted because even though it takes places in the 90’s, those were humans who got murdered.

Ugh, I hate it. My girlfriend though watches the (German synchronized) version to fall asleep.

Bright side, she hasn't murdered me yet!

It made me less trusting of people in general. They would show a picture of a couple dating in college, and I would think about how the woman had no idea that this person would eventually end up killing her for insurance money. They both went into realty, she succeeded but he failed and went into debt.

Used to warm up chimichangas in the microwave before it came on.

If I happen to see them, I tend to tune in out of morbid curiosity.
