Remove the cigs and it's actually a good upgrade, coffee does not cause much issues unless you drink 3 glasses a day

[–] thethrilloftime69@feddit.online 4 points 2 hours ago

You shouldn't smoke cigarettes.

But a French breakfast is a glorious way to start a day.

[–] possiblylinux127@lemmy.zip 8 points 2 hours ago (2 children)

I think the world is a better place without foam cups and cigarettes

Vaping and energy drinks have there own problems but are not nearly as bad

[–] endless_nameless@lemmy.world 17 points 1 hour ago (2 children)

Those disposable vapes are so fucking bad for the environment

[–] boonhet@lemmy.zip 6 points 1 hour ago

They're also mostly for kids, who shouldn't be vaping anyway. They should be banned.

[–] possiblylinux127@lemmy.zip 2 points 1 hour ago (2 children)

...and your lungs

Sure they are probably better than cigarettes but the bar is extremely low

[–] Thebeardedsinglemalt@lemmy.world 1 points 10 minutes ago

You can cut your finger off at the 2nd knuckle or the 3rd knuckle.

[–] endless_nameless@lemmy.world 4 points 1 hour ago (1 children)

I'm not one to complain about what harms people choose to expose themselves to. Everyone owns their own body. The environmental damage effects us all though.

[–] affenlehrer@feddit.org 1 points 23 minutes ago

It makes health insurance more expensive for everyone, at least here in Germany

[–] altkey@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 2 hours ago (1 children)

Paper cup coffees and regular cigs are better of these evils. Foam is cursed, but not as cursed as disposable or even rechargeable vape. It's like comparing soft and cold, but someone's more obvious individual likeness to get a lung cancer may be less significant than a trace of li-pol batteries they'd leave after them, I believe.

[–] possiblylinux127@lemmy.zip 2 points 1 hour ago* (last edited 1 hour ago)

I think they are all terrible. Why compare them when we can simply do none of the above

[–] crazycraw@crazypeople.online 33 points 4 hours ago (1 children)

I'd argue the coffee is better for you vs the monster but don't smoke.

[–] medem@lemmy.wtf 18 points 4 hours ago (3 children)

No need to argue. Caffeine is only bad for your health if you take insane amounts of it, and coffee itself has actual benefits, something you could literally never state about energy drinks. As for smoking vs. vaping, dunno.

[–] prettybunnys@piefed.social 5 points 3 hours ago

Coffee filtered through paper filters to remove the cafestol, in moderation, shows marked health benefits.

[–] boonhet@lemmy.zip 0 points 1 hour ago

Is vitamin B really that bad for you? Or taurine?

The caffeine is mostly what makes energy drinks unhealthy too. That and the sugar but white monster is sugar free so if you put shit in your coffee instead of drinking it properly (black and no sugar), I'd argue that coffee is just as bad for you as energy drinks.

[–] Elting@piefed.social 0 points 2 hours ago* (last edited 2 hours ago)

Vaping is turning out just as bad as smoking the more we learn of its long term consequences.

[–] HalfSalesman@lemmy.world 3 points 2 hours ago

Just the black coffee that tastes like mud in a foam cup for me thanks.

[–] DupaCycki@lemmy.world 5 points 3 hours ago (1 children)

If not for the Marlboro at the bottom, I would have been left puzzled what the top left item is.

[–] tetris11@feddit.uk 8 points 3 hours ago (1 children)

It's a boofer. You use it before anal sex to scent and clean your butthole via steaming

[–] flandish@lemmy.world 4 points 2 hours ago (2 children)

can confirm. tetris has a fantastic smell to their butthole. it’s kinda floral.

[–] SillyDude@lemmy.zip 1 points 1 hour ago (1 children)

Can you send me their underwear, I want a whiff.

[–] flandish@lemmy.world 1 points 1 hour ago (1 children)
[–] SillyDude@lemmy.zip 3 points 1 hour ago

Fine, I'll go get it myself.

[–] 0ops@piefed.zip 1 points 2 hours ago

[–] ToastedRavioli@midwest.social 4 points 3 hours ago (1 children)

[–] yermaw@sh.itjust.works 2 points 3 hours ago

[–] MasterNerd@lemmy.zip 5 points 3 hours ago (1 children)

Hmm Styrofoam for that extra health debuff

[–] arrow74@lemmy.zip 3 points 3 hours ago

You have to get in your microplastics somehow it's part of a balanced breakfast

[–] anonfopyapper@lemmy.world 18 points 6 hours ago (2 children)

Yeah change shit to piss.

How about... None of those and touch the grass idk?

[–] Semi_Hemi_Demigod@lemmy.world 19 points 5 hours ago

If you’re gonna make me get up too early to go to a place I don’t want to be and deal with people I hate I’m gonna need drugs to keep from causing a scene.

[–] trevor@lemmy.blahaj.zone 12 points 5 hours ago (2 children)

Yeah, can we stop normalizing extremely harmful and addictive substance use? It's really weird how there are so many pro-smoking posts cropping up everywhere.

Anyone I've ever met IRL that smokes deeply regrets ever starting and would never encourage others to pick it up.

[–] mbp@lemmy.sdf.org 23 points 5 hours ago (4 children)

Idk, if a meme convinces someone to start smoking, they probably would get into it regardless.

[–] e8d79@discuss.tchncs.de 4 points 1 hour ago

Aren't you convinced yet?

[–] Zorque@lemmy.world 2 points 2 hours ago (1 children)

Big "I just sold them the drugs, I didnt make them use it" energy right here.

[–] mbp@lemmy.sdf.org 2 points 52 minutes ago

That's a hell of a leap to conclusions, lol

[–] Frozengyro@lemmy.world 7 points 4 hours ago

As a one time thing, sure. But when they start seeing it several times a day, it makes it seem normal. It maybe adds to their curiosity so they end up trying it.

[–] trevor@lemmy.blahaj.zone 10 points 5 hours ago (1 children)

Memes that depict it positively are a subtle way to normalize the behavior.

[–] mbp@lemmy.sdf.org 1 points 52 minutes ago (1 children)

True, but so does seeing it on the street. That's just cohabitation with other humans.

[–] trevor@lemmy.blahaj.zone 1 points 39 minutes ago* (last edited 39 minutes ago)

No need to have that glorified on the internet though :)

At least IRL, you're reminded by the reality that they make the entire surrounding area smell like absolute shit.

[–] ThePantser@sh.itjust.works 8 points 5 hours ago

Big tobacco posting to little networks.

[–] GorGor@startrek.website 7 points 5 hours ago* (last edited 5 hours ago) (1 children)

its early in the morning

about a quarter to three

and I'm sitting here talking to my baby

over cigarettes and coffee

[–] friend_of_satan@lemmy.world 2 points 2 hours ago

Plus, nobody ever stayed up til 3am at the local diner talking over a bottomless pot of Monster®.

[–] saltesc@lemmy.world 3 points 4 hours ago (1 children)

It really depends on which you hate the most; your lungs and environment, or your teeth and nervous system.

[–] roserose56@lemmy.zip 2 points 3 hours ago

That's my boy!
