Have a great week, everyone! May Iran be victorious in kicking the empire out of West Asia!

As always, communism will win.

We had a party meeting regarding Cuba and we will send a solidarity team soon so we now have to get as many supplies as we can. Medical supplies, gardening supplies and seeds, bike supplies, whatever you can think of.

We have had close relationships with the Cuban government for decades now and it's good to see that we can keep up the solidarity between us. They often help out with our party's free healthcare clinics throughout the country and they also secretly supply our yearly festival with Cuban rum lmao.

Thank you for helping our Cuban comrades!

If possible, check with your org if they can bring solar generators and panels as well! That is urgently needed.

I think it's starting to set in for me that the war may go on for months or more. The duplicitous nature of both the current US admin and the zionist entity means it's essentially impossible to have peace talks. Iran's battle is going to be (with the assistance of other resistance forces in the region) to evict colonialism and imperialism from the region to the extent that peace is even possible and safety is remotely achievable. Without that, it's just Trump tweeting about talks while greenlighting another attack on civilian infrastructure, or the zionist entity grandstanding about ceasefires and then violating said ceasefires endlessly. Things are at a point where there is nothing really to talk about. The colonial/western presence in the region cannot be trusted for even a week at a time to not work on something violent.

The army has been deployed in the Jewish district in my city to protect them. Two and a half year of genocide has sparked zero incidents and yet tax payer money will be spend this way. I have to walk past a hundred dudes equiped with machine guns when I go to work now.

Two and a half year of genocide and nothing happens in our Jewish district, but the day military people get stationed there, all of a sudden a car gets set on fire. What a coincidence!

Media says an 'antisemitic terrorist group' claimed the attack but they cannot even be arsed to say who it is supposed to be.

[–] Eat_Yo_Vegetables69@lemmygrad.ml 19 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

So much for the "checks and balances" of the US system lol

[–] Ember_NE@lemmygrad.ml 15 points 2 weeks ago

You mean the checks contributing to the balance in the politicians bank accounts?

🫵 You WILL have hope, comrade.

[–] SaladSnake@lemmygrad.ml 11 points 2 weeks ago

I have much hope, but it does not quell the fear. I wish us all great bravery.

Anyone else feel like an anomaly? Like they're not supposed to be here, or that something went wrong and you're a byproduct.

I used to like being called wierd, but...there's a certain feel to it now. Like I'm almost alien. Maybe it's just that I haven't found "my people" (even in my organization that I'm in) but...idk.

[–] amemorablename@lemmygrad.ml 10 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

I'm not sure if I relate in those words. I don't view myself as a mistake or something. But I have for various reasons spent pretty much my whole life feeling like an outsider in one way or another. I do wonder sometimes though, if I would still feel that way if I were living in a communal society that is more oriented around getting people's needs met. It's maybe not such a bad thing that I don't feel like I belong in the horrible culture that is the US.

Feeling like/being described as/telling people they are an alien is a common theme with autistic people. My cousin and I were both 99% we were aliens between age 8-12. Just saying.

Tried to take a walk in the park to clear my mind but the park was so busy with people, cyclists and joggers that I couldn't relax. All the good benches away from the paths were taken as well. I came back home even more overstimulated. I stayed in a small village recently where you could just walk in the forest without seeing anybody which was great. I could just walk without the fear of judgement or invasions of personal space. I really need that. Especially since I'm grieving and don't like seeing people just living life normally, while I'm broken inside.

[–] Marat@lemmygrad.ml 14 points 2 weeks ago (4 children)

Also for some reason I hate the fact ai is pushed to really just compliment you all the time. I knows there's prompting thay might fix thid but I don't use it enough to bother with it. But even just using deepseek, having it go "oh that's so interesting blah blah *blah" just makes my skin crawl for some reason.

And I'm not trying to be "ohhh I'm so humble" or whatever. Its just icky to me for some reason

Had a great first week at my job. The pay is decent but what I really love is the social environment.

[–] pyromaiden@lemmygrad.ml 9 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

Decent pay is way more common than a decent social environment, tragically.

The last year at my first job was amazing because of how many cool people there were to hang out with. I was sad it was over. I've never had that experience since.

An unripe habanero in my grow house had a bit of damage so I picked it before it went to waste. I nearly ruined the curry i made for dinner. Its 3.5 hours since I cut it up. Ive washed my hand with soap 3 times. I picked my nose 5 minutes ago and my nostril is burning.

So...apparently one of the girls at my Uni in a friend group of mine thought I was hitting on them and it made them uncomfortable.

I feel so stupid. I didn't even know I was. We've made up. But now I'm afraid that I've made other people uncomfortable. I don't understand why i don't work. Why can't I just be normal?

[–] bennieandthez@lemmygrad.ml 11 points 2 weeks ago

its not necessarily your fault, some people think that having a normal conversation is being flirty.

[–] DonLongSchlong@lemmygrad.ml 9 points 2 weeks ago

Yeah, apparently i am considered "flirty" and i have no idea how to flirt. It was not uncommon to have a random person flirt with me because they thought i was already flirting with them the entire time lol

Apparently my autistic ass trying to not have a boring conversation is making people blush and you might have the same problem. Is there maybe a way that you can kind of loudly exclaim this being a problem for you so that the people around you know what's up at least? My friends know of my unconscious "flirting"

It might also entirely be their issue of being too sensitive as well. If this doesn't happen more often to you then i think she might be the problem here.

I'm really interested in the Basque independence movement but sometimes I see people active in said movement pose with the Flemish flag because 'FlEmIsH iNdEpEnDeNcE' and I'm like 'guys they are literal neonazis wanting an ethnostate please stop'

[–] SlayGuevara@lemmygrad.ml 12 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago)

Also Flemish nationalism makes in no way sense. There is 0 effort from the Belgian government to oppress Flemish people. It is by far the biggest demographic group with the most spoken language. They have their own government. They are free to teach Flemish history, language and whatnot.

Then you have the historical aspect of it. I'd say the movement is strongest in the provinces of East and West Flanders. Which are historically speaking Flanders. But then you have places like the province of Antwerp, where I live, and you also have these people supporting it. Except historically speaking Antwerp, Flemish Brabant and Brussels have been part of the Duchy of Brabant. Same with Limburg but with the Duchy of Limburg.

The movement makes at least some sense in the Lille region of France, which is historically speaking Flanders. But even there it is hijacked by right wing nationalism.

Put me on the line with PressTV I need to explain why these No Kings people are liberals dawg

[–] SlayGuevara@lemmygrad.ml 11 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago) (1 children)

No Kings we just want oligarchs who don't also target white liberals who don't completely hate LGBTQ+ people or POC so I can pretend my blue guy candidate is the pinnacle of democracy. Dozens of POC killed by ICE but I draw the line at a white person being killed.

Having a bit of beef with the party. Idk why I do this but I have this tendency to let things stack up until I just orbital nuke my relationships with people. It's not my best trait admittedly.

what's the deal with vietnam and israel? actually, what's the deal with vietnam in general?

[–] rainpizza@lemmygrad.ml 22 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago)

If you have questions regarding Vietnam, you can ask several comrades that have knowledge from there such @kredditacc@lemmygrad.ml and @traxanh@hexbear.net .

As for your comments here, trading is not the same as giving support. Never fall for the lie of straying away from the main culprits of keeping the Zionist entity alive which is the West.

As for the rest, be extremely careful from where you get your news from. Right now, there is a strong wave of fake news and psyops trying to destabilise every single country that I am keeping tabs on. Western news are very unreliable and untrustworthy regarding countries that are not aligned or have a different system from liberalism. As an example, check how the Western media slandered the Cuban Flotilla. This type of trashy and insidious reporting is repeating everywhere including in the Sahel countries as Traore warned and even in Asia.

Always crosscheck your sources with the local ones and study how Psyop works.

Beside that, check the community of Vietnam for updates regarding the country if you are really interested -> https://lemmygrad.ml/c/vietnam

I've been really fond of the game Lucid Blocks as of lately. It's a liminal, dreamy Minecraft clone(complimentary) that reminds me of LSD Dream Simulator in the absurd, non-narrative "walking simulator" that is a tad bit more interactable than Dream Simulator.

It's good to enjoy when you "make up" stories for the worlds (called Qualia) you create. I always have fun trying to picture that I'm walking through the dreams of random individuals sleeping across the world and adding or attributing meaning to the generation of the worlds and their features on the "dream-state" of the individual I'm walking through.

Cool stuff!
