Infineon Technologies has opened its Smart Power Fab in Dresden, Germany, months ahead of schedule, bringing the world’s largest manufacturing facility for intelligent power semiconductors and analog/mixed-signal technologies into operation.

The facility represents a €5 billion (about $5.7 billion) investment, the largest in the company’s history. It creates 1,000 direct jobs and doubles Infineon’s manufacturing capacity in Dresden.

The factory will produce chips that improve how electricity is converted and managed. Those devices will support AI data centers. They will also help power electricity grids and software-defined vehicles.

President Donald Trump plans to claim in a Thursday night speech that newly declassified intelligence reports reveal a foreign nation’s plans to interfere in the 2020 presidential election, two White House officials told MS NOW on Monday.

Trump will be joined by officials including CIA Director John Ratcliffe, acting Director of National Intelligence Bill Pulte, FBI Director Kash Patel and Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin, according to one of the officials, who were granted anonymity to discuss the internal plans, MS NOW reported.

Trump earlier Monday afternoon announced on Truth Social that he “will be making a Speech to the Nation on Thursday evening, at 9 P.M. Eastern,” without providing further details.

Looking for some troubleshooting help, if possible.

Attempting to install Arch using the linux-zen kernel. Planning to encrypt root using dm-crypt.

Early on, after running

parted /dev/vda --script mklabel gpt

parted -a optimal /dev/vda --script mkpart "ptn-boot" fat32 2048s 1024MiB

parted -a optimal /dev/vda --script mkpart "ptn-root" btrfs 1024MiB 100%

on the disk.

i then enter

modprobe dm-crypt

modprobe dm-mod

I've done this procedure a lot of times before, but I think I'm missing something, bc when I run modprobe dm-crypt, i get

modprobe: ERROR: could not insert 'dm_crypt': Invalid argument

I don't get an error with modprobe dm-mod.

In /lib/modules/7.1.3-zen1-2-zen/kernel/drivers/md/, i have dm-crypt.ko.zst and dm-mod.ko.zst.
