Last time I saw a youtube ad was probably 2009. Or it might have been 2008.

SmartTube is for Android, as is NewPipe. You need a Smart TV with Android TV. Other TVs do not have a way out.
Their way out is using an external device.
Of course, but it's a bit misleading. I thought it might be helpful to add that comment.
