It's not you they're talking to. The whole point of this statement is to fear-monger and get the government to give these assholes huge subsidies to "compete", except these subsidies will go straight to the shareholders.
Make no mistake, it's just grifters trying to get the last bit of juice before they declare "yeah we're bankrupt, cheerios"
We stopped trying to improve our product when we realized we were going to lose anyway, but it didn't stop us from asking for a bunch of government money first
