Without having watched it, I'll guess stopping it goes in the line of "little by little, but growing ever more independant from it".
That's what I'm doing..
Switch away from Google Chrome to [redacted].
Switch away from Google Search to [redacted].
Get a free [redacted] account and start moving accounts.
Use [redacted] instead of Google Maps, discover [redacted] is now owned by Google, buy a fucking atlas. Fuck this timeline.
Next step/shit to figure out:
Move my contacts off of Google.
The Last Thing I'll Do: Migrate Photos to a self-hosted solution.
Edit: Why is this downvoted? Did you guys follow me from reddit lol
Edit 2: Removed any mention of software that may have offended people.
Try using CoMaps or Organic Maps. I prefer Co Maps over Organic Maps but each their own.
Ente Photos is a pretty good Google Photos replacement if you don't want expend the effort for a full self-hosted solution yet
Don't use Brave.
Also use CoMaps with RHVoice.
I can recommend HereWeGo as an alternative to Maps. I switched two years ago and I am quite happy with it ever since.
Installed. But, long term, how do they plan to pay their bills?
Also, any advice for a text-to-speech engine on Graphene? Here We Go won't talk to me without one.
SherpaTTS is what I use for text to speech on GrapheneOS. Works fine with herewego.
