I added Reddit to my age verification bypass extension!

Age verification is everywhete, so I'm making an add-on for #firefox to bypass age verification on many platforms!

https://addons.mozilla.org/addon/age-verification-bypass/ , source code at https://github.com/helloyanis/age-verification-bypass

I just added Reddit to the list of supported sites! It can now automatically remove the NSFW log-in popup when viewing NSFW subreddits. (Yes I know we have Lemmy on the fediverse, but I think it can still be useful!)

If you don't have Firefox, or want a more private experience, you can also use a front-end like redlib at https://redlib.catsarch.com/ to avoid communicating with Reddit entirely, and you don't even need my extension on that one!

(Video shows off the concept but doesn't show any actual nsfw contents)

Will the extension also come to ungoogled chromium?

Guess I gotta move to librewolf or something

@Hxrmit That will also get you a better uBlock origin, as these changes also affect that extension! On chrome you only have uBlock Origin Lite, but on Firefox you can add your own filters, block cookie banners and social media widgets, and update the blocklist without updating the extension which isn't doable on Chrome / Chromium!

Thank you, I suspected that. Only had degoogled chrome since I did a lot of web flashing and heard its easier on resources than chrome and Firefox. I'll consider it

@Hxrmit Actually, Firefox recently added support for the Serial API, so web flashing should work on Firefox too!
