There's largely still above average working conditions for the people that do land a job in tech, but right now the job security is rather low.

The thing is, if you're managing an important project. The companies want to pay extra, to ensure they're having decent people hired and have their time if something breaks out of hours.

But remote hirers, do also factor regional factors into account. Most US companies okay with remote workers, will have payranges per state. Most European companies, have at least pay ranges per country. You're getting paid more in Denmark than you'd be in Hungary as an example. To account for cost of living as well as local competition
