A few days ago the US sanctioned an Egyptian bank for trading with Iran. (This means they are refusing to sell them USD.) Could this be a response to that?
Likely, and this also goes beyond Iran. The US has basically weaponized the dollar system now, and everybody knows they need to get off of it ASAP.
There's a really good interview with colonel Lawrence Wilkerson who was the former Chief of Staff to the Secretary of State where he talks about how the US has full capture of the European political class. So, what we see happening in Europe isn't too surprising.
Not saying you all must, but things won't get better without organizing, until then it will keep moving right until all the mainstream parties are indistinguishable from fascists (which is already happening in many places, to some degree)
