Casting a brown skinned woman as Snow White will never not be silly.
It's similar to Jack Reacher, it's made very clear in the books he's a tall, physically intimidating person. And they cast Tom Cruise to play him.
Grown men having strong opinions on how Disney Princesses should look will never not be silly.
There's no reason for it to matter to them.
