The article claims that changes in water lines resulted in altered perceptions of the border line. As if international borders are hallucinogenic in some way? IDK

It's well known that changes in water lines make GPS completely inoperable. This could happen to any wealthy and powerful nation's military.

Militaries accidentally invade each other all the time.

Usually, they back right out and let the other country know, they don't use boats to get around visible border controls and plant a sign in other country though.
