Opinions, interpretations, perspective, validation, criticism, a general necessity for having a modicum of self-awareness, etc… We’re social animals, it’s a very basic part of our animal nature. Being a pretentious twat chugging the LLM kool-aid and pretending people are useless entities just because you can have a robot tell you what and how to think instead of putting any effort into self-identity and awareness doesn’t make you smart or special, it just means you are abandoning the human endeavor. Looking at people as nothing more than a resource for you to gain something from is just condescending and pretentious, not intelligence.

Almost every piece of information documented on the internet or used to train LLM is an approximation, or a simplification. Searching and LLM are very handy if you know exactly what you are looking for or you have some idea of what you don't know, but if you don't know what you don't know, things can go sideways easily if you are looking for extremely specific guidance vs just goofing around.
This is why apprenticeships are a thing. You can't learn everything from books or a classroom. It takes experiencing things and seeing what those approximations are and how they impact your decision making to help improve your trade. Even at that point, speaking to other experts is extremely useful. They can challenge your approach, or share how they do things where they are. Inevitably, some of those approximations are different.
In my work I talk to as many people as possible to solve a problem. Everyone's observations and hunches are different. 99% of the time I don't think they are lying to me, but two people can swear something totally different happened and it's just because their assumptions were different, or their memory is slightly varied.
Other reasons are because I care about people in my life and I want to hear from them. I want to know what they are doing and how they are feeling. It brings me joy to talk to my partner and friends. They are very funny!

I think I get what you’re trying to say. I’ve often (in the past ~10 years) talked about something I’m going through only to be given terrible advice. It’s always pretty verifiable that it’s terrible, even before we had big LLM models to ask.
On the offhand I’d blindly follow someone’s advice it would usually backfire on me.
So while I think I’m talking about specific interactions it feels like a valid generalization to me.
Yeah, I mean, people share information and explain things to each other. LLMs make those interactions much more accessible and in many cases effective as well. So what is the point of interaction with humans online, for example? Is it the validation that comes from organic human minds?
LLMs tend to be synchophantic and can't judge or give feedback effectively.
Plus they can fail at tasks as simple as telling me how many kids Queen Victoria had.
They never hold their own line, but cave and bow. Which in turn makes the one inputting to it weaker.
