The thing that the “it’s simply yet another tool” crowd miss is that tools are not neutral or inert.
“Web 2.0” and “mobile first” had some politics baked into them from the start, even though it may have been hard to see at first. AI is no different.
When you use the tool, it makes you see the world a certain way.
That is, quite obviously, the point — you use a tool because you behave differently when using the tool. If you did exactly the same things in exactly the same way as without the tool, it’s not much of a tool, is it?
