I wake up to molchat doma - volny every day
Just ripped it from newpipe and set the song to my alarm tone.
Up before the drums come in almost always, but if im dog tired and dont hear it, the drums coming in will do it.
Sonic the Hedgehog drowning music.
Works best if you have the accompanying childhood trauma.
I always thought the Rocky Theme or Alan Parsons Project Sirius would work great. But I've never really tried.
the one song that NASA banned where the only intelligible words are "big black cadillac" in the middle, i'd look it up but i'm on the toilet at work
The Legendary Stardust Cowboy - paralyzed
I set my alarm to a soma.fm station so it's not the same everyday
I really like waking up to bird song.
One unexpected benefit is that i recognize it now as the signal to wake up, but it is usually subtle enough that it doesn't wake other people up in the same room, especially if i turn on rising volume.
Don't use your favorite song. I did that once now I can't listen to it without getting dread
The intro to a lot of songs make good repeating alarms.
Wow, this Lufi file hoster is really nice. Never heard of it before
The solution for waking up is math.
Get an app that does not allow you to snooze or turn it off without solving math problems. Just 32 + 47 - 13 is enough to get you up. It is very frustrating though, standing there with mots of noise wanting to solve it fast.
I'm bad enough at math wide awake
You can control the difficulty ๐
Android lets your record your own alarm tones. I have a selection for different reasons to remind me WHY I'm getting up.
I also have one that's just me yelling to get up NOW.
Getting the gf to laugh at the alarm is a good way to get her up!
Always a good choice from Marc Rebillet!
The HEEEYYYEEEYYEEEYYEEAAA song with He Man has been a favorite of mine for a long time.
And when I was struggling the most with getting up, I made my alarm sound a screaming goat. It gets you up, but don't use it if you have heart problems or anything.
I have mine set to the same sound as an incoming phone call, that way psychologically it's harder to ignore or dismiss.
I go with The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly theme by Morricone.
Sound of glass breaking. Wakes me up in a hurry every time.
I'm awful at waking up, absolute dog shit.
I recently got a watch that monitors my heart rate and can also do alarms, it just vibrate, but the buttons are small and the screen is finicky so I have to really focus to press snooze or end. Then I have an alarm on my phone that starts vibrating a minute later and its been working great to wake me up.
Unfortunately I can't do any sort of sound because it'll wake up the whole house, then we're all having a bad morning.
I've been using The Cursed Clock from Nine Inch Nails Ghosts: Locust album.
It starts out soft and low, but slowly builds.
I've been using this for years and it's about as perfect of an alarm as I've ever found.
Still gives me the chills even 15 years and countless mornings later.

- "We have arrived, and it is now that we perform our charge. In fealty to the God-Emperor, our undying Lord, and by the grace of the Golden Throne, I declare Exterminatus upon the Imperial world of Typhon Primaris. I hereby sign the death warrant of an entire world, and consign a million souls to oblivion. May Imperial Justice account in all balance. The Emperor Protects." *
I used to use an air raid siren, but my partner grew up around tornados so now I use The Roost music from Animal Crossing. I ripped that from a mk8 youtube video years ago
I use "Air Hockey Saloon" by Chris Zabriskie. Certainly more on the gentle side.

the pokeflute song, best alarm ever.
