What a guy!

He is obviously melting them with his hatred.

"I freaking love entropy..."

My cats also loves ice cubes. It's a bit of a tradition at this point, any time I get a beverage I have to give one in their bowl.

They don't do much with it but an occasional lick and watch it melt but they'll purr and stay put until it's gone. I like it, I think it lets them feel included.

Aww that's cute

My cat too! Ever since he was a kitten. We call it the "ice tax". Whenever anyone in my house uses ice for any reason my cat will run up and meow at the person and basically demand a cube. They then have to take an ice cube and throw it into the bath tub while the cat gleefully chases after it and bats it around in the bath tub.

I had a cat that loved this too. I'm pretty sure he could hear the tiny little trapped bubbles "sizzle" as the cube melted.

This has always been my theory. All the micro fractures growing. Its like us watching two e frozen lake videos where they make the lazer sounds...

I can melt things with my mind

Everytime I have an iced drink, my cat Stuart wants to put his paw in it. It is a deep, burning desire that does not abate until the glass is empty. I have to cover my drink with my hand and keep moving it around to keep it away from him.

I had a ferret that would do that anytime I was drinking an alcoholic beverage, but he ignored tea, soda, and water.

You do know that's poison, right? He can smell it.

[–] Washedupcynic@lemmy.ca 7 points 1 week ago (1 children)

You think he was trying to save me from myself?

[–] possumparty@lemmy.blahaj.zone 3 points 1 week ago

well, he knew you weren't going to do it in that moment

[–] GreenKnight23@lemmy.world 6 points 1 week ago (1 children)

all alcohol is a light poison.

so are most spices.

Nutmeg is a deliriant, you can have a really awful trip on it if you eat enough.

[–] Washedupcynic@lemmy.ca 4 points 1 week ago (1 children)

The spice must flow. I am seeing reports that a single teaspoon could produce hallucinations. TIL.

[–] Elting@piefed.social 3 points 1 week ago

Yeah I started putting a good amount into my coffee cuz it tastes good and then wondering why I felt like shit the rest of the morning.

Big fan of thermodynamics.

He's melting them with his telekinesis

[–] aim4harmony@lemmy.world 13 points 1 week ago

Cat with superpowers.

[–] HoneyMustardGas@lemmy.world 11 points 1 week ago

this made my day.

As far as I know, cats and dogs can see heat to a certain extent, so this could look really interesting to a cat.
