Hey, they scanned that place for a SteamVR home world. It might be another wall, bit I think if you try clipping through it there's a Portal turret that will sound an alarm on the other side.

And I boycotted steam's avidly for the first years because I knew what will happen and how they will kill physical games and the 2nd-hand-market (and the lending of games) for the poorer.

Caved in with left4dead2 finally and am now at like 20k games. And was right. Both markets are basically dead and I joined the devil.

At least, as long as they're not going public, they enrich gaming a bit, as they're not just a sales-platform like epic.

Fast internet is what killed physical games.

Steam is the second less evil of the current market, the least evil is GOG

True, it was always moving that way, because greed, but better Steam than EA, Ubisoft, Microsoft, Epic Games and Blizzard with their shit stores.

You can lend games on steam.

Why do we never hear about Mike Harrington? It's always Gabe Newell.
Anyways I guess congratulations to them is in order, they've done a fantastic job. I only wish they would move the company to Canada or EU. I don't buy American products or services, the only exception is Steam.

Maybe Harrington isn't rich?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mike_Harrington

On January 15, 2000, Harrington sold his stake in Valve to Newell

According to Newell, Harrington did not want to risk another project after the success of Half-Life.

So apparently Gabe Newell has absolute power.
