Mildly Interesting

This is for strictly mildly interesting material. If it's too interesting, it doesn't belong. If it's not interesting, it doesn't belong.

This is obviously an objective criteria, so the mods are always right. Or maybe mildly right? Ahh.. what do we know?

Just post some stuff and don't spam.

A Japanese X user turned the internet's mosaic blur into a real bandage. The scratch is healed, it just looks like it is still under review.

it looks like pixelated cuts from Minecraft or smth

[–] tranhonganh102@lemmy.zip 1 points 1 day ago

The cut refused to install the HD texture pack. It is running on the default 16x16 resolution.

[–] gatitaQwQ@lemmy.world 3 points 1 day ago (1 children)

That looks cool, I'd buy a bandage that makes it look like a cartoon wound.

[–] tranhonganh102@lemmy.zip 1 points 1 day ago

Warning: cartoon wound side effects include hovering for two seconds before the pain kicks in.

[–] isleepinahammock@lemmy.blahaj.zone 20 points 2 days ago (3 children)

Do this but a skin colored bathing suit.

[–] tranhonganh102@lemmy.zip 7 points 2 days ago

The full-body mosaic suit. I would buy two.

[–] AVincentInSpace@pawb.social 5 points 2 days ago (1 children)

For when you wanna look like a showering Sim

[–] tranhonganh102@lemmy.zip 1 points 2 days ago

EA has officially entered the first aid market. The pixels never clear, even after you leave the bathroom.

Yeah we all independently came up with the idea of wearing black boxes for Halloween too

[–] SaveTheTuaHawk@lemmy.ca 2 points 1 day ago

Japanese bandages.

All the over-censoring that happens on the internet, people censoring words like "die" or "hurt", makes me want to come out with a competing line of bandages decorated with high resolution photographs of actual wounds. Make them subversive so it's a first amendment issue, like a "Things ICE has done to children" series.

[–] Hideakikarate@sh.itjust.works 7 points 2 days ago

That'll be an awfully large bandage.

[–] Natanael@infosec.pub 4 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Printable bandage sheets so you can quickly add your own design before applying it, complete with a 3D scanning app to make the texture fit non-flat surfaces

Life Pro Tip: Wear a truckload of these and help your local Flock cameras into a dumpster! They seek being thrashed and disregarded into a bin!

[–] tranhonganh102@lemmy.zip 30 points 3 days ago

GDPR-compliant skin, finally.

[–] InFerNo@lemmy.ml 22 points 2 days ago (4 children)

What minor cuts are you covering with bandages that size? 😄

[–] FilthyShrooms@lemmy.world 9 points 2 days ago (1 children)
[–] tranhonganh102@lemmy.zip 2 points 2 days ago

With these bandages, every wound is officially but a scratch.

[–] HeyThisIsntTheYMCA@lemmy.world 7 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago) (1 children)

Abrasions, or minor wounds with ointment on the surrounding skin that you don't want the ointment getting fucking everywhere and staining your cute panties (calmoseptine I am looking directly at you)

[–] InFerNo@lemmy.ml 5 points 2 days ago

It was in jest. I have cats so I know large superficial scratches can get.

[–] tranhonganh102@lemmy.zip 2 points 2 days ago

The cut is minor, but the backstory is classified.

Are you sure they’re not just giant stickers of genitals?

[–] tranhonganh102@lemmy.zip 7 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Sir, this is a first aid product.

[–] DonkeyStar@lemmy.world 2 points 2 days ago (1 children)

I mean, in the right context, for the right condition… Yeah, you’re right.

[–] JasonDJ@lemmy.zip 2 points 1 day ago

There's a time and a place for everything, and it's called college.

[–] imvii@lemmy.ca 4 points 2 days ago

I'm going to put the large ones on my nipples then walk around finger-gunning everyone.

[–] anarchy79@lemmy.world 13 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Aw shit they got shot with a 90s video game gun!

[–] tranhonganh102@lemmy.zip 5 points 2 days ago

Low-res damage, high-res pain.

[–] Airfried@piefed.social 20 points 2 days ago (3 children)

They call it censorship. I call it old school video game aesthetics.

[–] postmateDumbass@lemmy.world 4 points 2 days ago (1 children)

make bandages with female nipples to test this censorship therory.

[–] adarza@lemmy.ca 2 points 2 days ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

that's what the small square one is!

[–] tranhonganh102@lemmy.zip 2 points 2 days ago

Low resolution, high immersion. My skin has officially been ported to 8-bit.

This looks incredibly scary and gory. Leaves everything up to imagination.

[–] tranhonganh102@lemmy.zip 12 points 2 days ago

That is the hidden feature. The imagination supplies the gore at no extra cost.

[–] bright_side_@piefed.world 29 points 2 days ago (1 children)

the internet’s mosaic blur wat 😄

looks cool though, but also way more serious compared to the actual wound in most cases I assume

[–] tranhonganh102@lemmy.zip 17 points 2 days ago (2 children)

It is the pixelated censor effect you see in videos. And yeah, it basically turns a minor paper cut into a classified state secret.

[–] bright_side_@piefed.world 10 points 2 days ago (1 children)

i get it, the description just made me chuckle a bit 😊

[–] paraphrand@lemmy.world 10 points 2 days ago (3 children)

Yeah, it’s like they never saw it on TV or something.

That's not an Internet thing. That's a Japanese porn thing

[–] Ilovethebomb@sh.itjust.works 19 points 2 days ago (1 children)

This is genuinely cool actually.

[–] tranhonganh102@lemmy.zip 6 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Right? Now I just need someone to actually mass produce them so I can buy a lifetime supply.

[–] k0e3@lemmy.ca 4 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Just get those removable tattoo papers for inkjet printers.

[–] tranhonganh102@lemmy.zip 2 points 2 days ago

Adding "mild medical forgery" to my weekend to-do list.

[–] GeorgimusPrime@lemmy.world 10 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Bigfoot does not need this because Bigfoot is naturally blurry.

That's just his stench cloud. It makes light get all wavy. Darryl hasn't bathed like, ever.

Right? Whoever made it really gave first aid a sense of humor.
