!nostupidquestions is a community dedicated to being helpful and answering each others' questions on various topics.
The rules for posting and commenting, besides the rules defined here for lemmy.world, are as follows:

MODERATORS
I’m sure different mods have their different reasons. Maybe it’s a frail ego, or maybe they’re morally righteous and find downvotes derogatory and demeaning. Who knows how some people think. 🤷♂️
Also, you’re thinking of Lemvotes. In my experience, it doesn’t always work for all instances. Hell, there’s been my own posts that on .world that I couldn’t pull up.
you can see upvote and downvote count on the piefed overlay by hovering over the number.
You might not see this, but piefed and db0 are like the Hatfields and McCoys. And OP is a db0 user, so it’s guaranteed they don’t use piefed (not with that account anyway).

I meant it as db0 is not a piefed instance, so the advice about seeing voting on the piefed hub was not relevant to you.

I very rarely use the downvote arrow, because I know it upsets people. “Why” doesn’t matter to me. Lemmy is (mostly) a friendly place, and I want it to stay that way.
