I already work a 4 day work week. 4/10's. I get up at 3 am. I fight traffic on the way home which doubles or triples my commute time home. It's not all it's cracked up to be.
I think 4/10's is already doable in a lot of industries but I question why they expect it to continue to be a 40 hour work week, or expect us to be paid more money for less hours. Nothing has trended that way in the entire time I've been alive. Feels like a pipedream.
I feel ya. I'm on Mon-Thr. Commute home at the height of rush hour. I stay in the city on Thursday nights and enjoy a couple of spots after shift.

I don't know if that's a good quid pro quo. At least in Canada the labor is plenty busy and would work weekends for the overtime. The issue is pay and labor conditions at the lowest echelons. That includes kids coming out of universities. They have to lower their expectations because their lack of experience makes them comparable to an AI assistant. But how are they suppose to become experts?
I appreciate that he's trying, but Bernie is so out of his depth when it comes to AI.
