Traditionally you put those in the foyer, vestibule, or mud room. You'll want a droppable chandilier, rock, or vat of boiling pitch to drop in from above, stop the nimble and parkour ready. Few friends with pike & shot to help guide them in maybe. No sense in letting the person you want murderholed making their way in and tracking mud everywhere.
