My 85 year old grampa got in a car accident last week but still is somehow allowed to drive. And to be clear he has no where he needs to drive to, he just chooses to put people's life at risk because he gets bored.

Older adults (65+) are the fastest-growing driver population, with a crash rate 7x higher than 35-54 year olds per mile driven
Older drivers are 2x more likely to be involved in a crash due to pedestrian collisions
Drivers aged 65+ make up 12% of drivers but 20% of pedestrian fatalities
This is why I do not drive a car but also as a pedestrian why I semi-frequently threaten to beat the boomers that keep trying to kill me to death.
