Personal opinion. I do not agree with the death penalty. Also a personal opinion, if the death penalty is applied, it cannot be barbaric and inhuman. Personal self-awareness. If a loved one was harmed horribly,...... this is why we have a jury of our peers. No person could be unbiased.
They should just let her free at this point. She won.
One would have thought that we would have some kind of automated procedure to add a lot more waiting time and re-asses the form of execution if not life sentence based on doctors, not judges, instead but I guess not.

Seems, once again, none of you read beyond the headline. Do any of you actually know what she did to be sentenced to death? There's no fucking way she deserves to be released.
On Jan. 12, 1995, 18-year-old Pike, her boyfriend Tadaryl Shipp, and her friend Shadolla Peterson lured Slemmer to the woods in Knoxville, Tennessee.
There, Pike and Shipp tortured Slemmer and bludgeoned her to death. Pike believed Slemmer was interested in her boyfriend, according to court documents.
"When Slemmer tried to flee, Pike sliced her stomach with the box cutter. ... As Slemmer begged for her life, Pike repeatedly kicked her in the face. Pike then cut Slemmer’s throat as she begged for mercy," the Tennessee Attorney General's Office wrote in court documents.
After Slemmer made one final attempt to escape, Pike smashed the back of her head with a rock, they wrote. Shipp also carved a pentagram into Slemmer's chest, and Pike later showed off a piece of Slemmer's skull to a friend.
Fuck this woman. She doesn't deserve freedom. Finish the sentence humanely if they're going to do it or put her back in prison for life. But do not release this psychopath.
