If the Houthis, Hezbollah, and Iran become instrumental in a chain event that finally dismantles western imperialism then I will have no choice but to become Shia

Genuinely considering learning farsi or arabic (mostly for the poetry and historical writings though if I'm entirely honest)
For you or anyone serious about learning Arabic, we have a comrade here who generously offers 1-on-1 MSA lessons from a syllabus they developed. As I'm sure you know, Farsi is what is primarily spoken in Iran, but it uses the same script/lettering system as Arabic. Also MSA, the formal standard Arabic is used all across the Arabic-speaking world even where local dialects diverge drastically, making it the best choice if you want to talk people of different Arab cultures and nationalities.
@CommunistCuddlefish@hexbear.net I think the main reason the comrade I mentioned above doesn't do a whole class is only because not enough people have been interested in it yet. But I don't know, that may be a possibility if more people requested it. Whether it's in a class or 1-on-1, having a teacher who you are obligated to demonstrate your progress to goes a very long way in maintaining motivation and preventing procrastination excuses, at least in my experience. Regardless, if you didn't know already, we do have a language-learning comm.
I have a syrian friend who has been teaching me a bit but this is cool af. Might contact them when I sober up. Hexbear is such a cool community, I'm glad I found y'all

Me too actually wouldn't it be fun if we could make a languages learning club haha (I keep being so busy but I need to just cephalopod-up and make the time for it)
Even if I never learn farsi I will thoroughly enjoy this video. Thank you ❤️
If you are interested in languages as a concept you should check out NativLang on youtube!
Hope for nope!
